Baby Steps

I do not know how to process today’s trades. I saw a video by Scarface Trades on YouTube. Never heard of him and he showed how he day trades. He used Trading View’s playback to show what would happen using his method. Of course, he makes a profit 4/5 days of the week.

Like always I take everything online with a grain of salt. He is probably trying to sell a course, the days were predetermined, he knew what was already gonna happen, etcetera he’s a guru. But at this stage in my journey, I want to try everything. I haven’t invented the wheel yet so let’s keep exploring. The basis of the strategy is simple: on a 1-minute time frame find who is in control the sellers or buyers, establish the high and low of the day, find resistance at levels and consolidation, and lastly buy the breakout. With that in mind, I went in.

I traded $QQQ twice selling half my positions at different levels by accident. I wanted to take a picture of my P/L to send to my friend and realized it kept bouncing moving and was confused. I realized one order to sell was cancelled and I had one more position. I quickly sold which was a gain of roughly $14. No clue how this happened, luckily no harm no foul. This is another example of the simple mistakes that I still continue to make.

Overall the strategy worked in our favor. Either it was luck or skill who knows. I am going to use this strategy for the remainder of this week and next. I want to see if I can smooth out some complications and see if it works in the long term.
